Apps Like MoneyLion: 12 Cash Advance Apps and What They Cost Next to MoneyLion

Page last reviewed: October 30, 2026 · Reviewed for accuracy by Betty Walsh

MoneyLion's Instacash has no membership and asks for an optional tip. Free delivery goes only into a MoneyLion Spend account, in 1 to 5 business days. Instant delivery costs 9% of the advance to another bank or debit card, or 7.5% into Spend (at most $14.99 each time); MoneyLion switched to these percentages in October 2026. Limits run up to $500 with direct deposit to another bank and $1,000 with direct deposit into Spend, paid out $100 at a time ($200 into Spend). For $100 repaid in 14 days, MoneyLion costs $9.00 sent instantly to your bank, $7.50 into Spend, or nothing at standard speed into Spend.

Here's what 12 other cash advance apps charge for the same advance, worked out from each company's own pricing pages, terms and help center, checked on October 30, 2026. Where an app's own pages disagree, or it publishes only a range, we show the range.

The table below shows what $100 and $200 cost with MoneyLion and 12 other apps.

Repaid in 14 days, counting one month of membership where most people pay one to get advances, and before any tip. Sorted by the most each app could charge for $100 sent instantly to your bank.

  • For $100 sent instantly, EarnIn, Albert and Chime cost less than MoneyLion once memberships are counted.
  • For $200, EarnIn, Brigit, Tilt, Albert, Klover, Chime and FloatMe cost less than MoneyLion's $18.00.
  • If an app waives its membership, Brigit, Tilt, FloatMe and Cleo can also come in under MoneyLion for $100.
  • At standard speed MoneyLion is free, and so are EarnIn, Albert, Klover, Chime and Current.
  • Chime, Varo, Current and Cash App pay only into their own accounts, so their instant price assumes you bank with them.

Why People Look for a MoneyLion Alternative

  • The 9% instant fee adds up on bigger advances. Sending $200 to your bank right away costs $18.00 with MoneyLion. EarnIn, Brigit, Tilt, Albert, Klover, Chime and FloatMe charge less for the same $200, membership included.
  • You don't want a MoneyLion Spend account. Free delivery, the 7.5% rate and the $1,000 limit all need Spend. EarnIn, Brigit, Tilt, Klover, Cleo and FloatMe send free standard transfers to your own bank.
  • You live in Connecticut, Maryland, Indiana or Wisconsin. MoneyLion prices Instacash differently there and shows the fees only in the app. Several apps publish state-specific fees instead: Tilt caps its instant fee in Maryland and Wisconsin, FloatMe in Indiana and Maryland, and EarnIn and Klover have their own Indiana and Wisconsin pricing.
  • You'd rather not be asked for a tip. Only EarnIn also asks for tips; the other 11 apps don't.
